Sea Day 1 - Lunch

Around noon, we wanted to go to Sushi on 5 for lunch, but as we were leaving, Grandma Trudy woke up and decided she wanted to go with us. It turns out that she doesn't like sushi though so we decided to go back to Luminae instead.

I thought Luminae closed for lunch at 1pm so about 10min till 1pm I started to get nervous that we wouldn't make it before they closed. Amelia and I decided to go on down to hold our table. (It turns out they are actually open till 1:30pm so needed have been worried.).

Of corer there were no window tables left. Amelia and I tried to select a table that we thought Grandma Trudy would like, but couldn't find one so we just sat down and waited at the front.

As soon as Ross and Grandma Trudy entered the restaurant a four top table with a bench seat opened up.

For a starter, I had one of my favorite salads, the beet and fennel citrus salad. This dish was just as good as on the Equinox.

More tomato soup Not as good as the smoky version that they serve at dinner.

Ross and Trudy enjoying our lovely lunch.

For her main course, sweet Pea ordered Ravioli. She thought this was the best thing she had ever tasted. :)

The chicken flat bread wasn't very good. It was strange because it was served on a piece of toast instead of flatbread. But the real problem was that the chicken was very dry. I think it had already been cooked and the got cooked more when the whole sandwich was broiled.

Ross has some very tasty ahi tuna.

For dessert Trudy tried the ricotta cheesecake.

The rest of us got chocolate lava cake which was amazing. This is one of my favorite desserts in Luminae.
