San Juan Day - Lunch

Grandma Trudy wanted to go to lunch with us so we went down to Luminae again.

Grandma Trudy wasn't real hungry so she didn't order anything. I had an Heirloom tomato salad with burrata which was amazing.

Ross had a tuna tartar tartine which was also fantastic.

Sweet Pea ordered a good squash velouté.

Ross and I had fillet mignon cob salads. This has happened a few times: When we order our steak, the waiter says "Medium?" And we reply "No, medium-rare." But it keeps coming out a medium anyway. Still tasty though!

For her entrée, Sweet Pea ordered mushroom risotto which was fantastic.

Of course the waiter brought Grandma Trudy two ramekins of banana creme brûlée. She only ate one and brought the other one back to the room.

My dessert was chocolate fondant, which had a thin soft outside chocolate layer which was reminiscent of the coating on the top of a Hostess cup cake. The inside had a very thin layer of cake a creaming chocolate filling. The coffee ice cream was deliciously strong.

Ross and Sweet Pea had a berry pavlova with a coconut macaroon cookie bottom. Excellent.

We took a picture with our very kind hostess, Faouzia, on our way out.
